We were frustrated by the lack of innovation in men's performance swimwear. So we engineered the brief we couldn’t find: a minimalist, modern brief that combines a secure athletic fit with an engineered seamless front for unparalleled comfort and a sleek, athletic contour. The Wake 1.5 is designed by a swimmer, for swimmers, with amphibious ambition.

• True 1.5″ Side Seam: A minimalist outseam for minimal drag and maximum water feel, without sacrificing coverage.

• Engineered Seamless Front: We eliminated the vertical front seam and used pattern-engineering to build in a subtle, athletic contour. The result: more room, less squish.

• Internal Comfort Pouch: Ditching the standard, cheap liner, we engineered an internal comfort pouch that provides perfect support, modesty, and prevents upward ride.

• Performance-First Cut: The low-front rise stays out of your way, while the secure back rise stays put during dives and flip-turns.

• Premium Matte Fabric: Our chlorine-tough, durable shell is substantial, fast-drying, and built with chlorine-resistant elastane to hold its shape.

• No-Slip Drawcord: A premium, 9mm flat-woven drawcord has a grippy texture that locks in tension, so you can cinch it and forget it.

• Hidden Stash Pocket: A zero-bulk internal pocket is perfectly sized for a key or credit card for amphibious "gym-to-pool" use.

• Big Sur Topo: This isn't just a pattern, it's a map (with contour lines so steep you’ll feel like you’re swimming downhill). The Big Sur Topo features the authentic USGS (United States Geological Survey) contour lines of Cone Peak and the surrounding area. Rising nearly a vertical mile just three miles from the ocean, it's one of the steepest "summit to sea" gradients in the contiguous US. This iconic coastline embodies our brand ethos, and this brief is built to perform for your celebratory dip in the Pacific after you take on the challenge.

Fit & Sizing

• Fit: Lap-tight by design.

• Sizing: Between sizes? Size down for a training-snug, compressive fit. Size up for a leisure-snug (less compressive) fit.

• Model: Our fit model is 6' tall, 175lbs, and wears a size 32.

• Shell: 78% Polyester / 22% Chlorine-resistant elastane

• Liner: 90% Polyester / 10% Elastane soft-touch knit

• Branding: Bazlisk signature logo on the right side, rear of the side seam

• Care: Rinse after use. Cold hand wash. Do not bleach. Dry flat in shade. Do not iron.

The Design: Why We Built The Wake

We founded Bazlisk because performance swim design felt stagnant. We wanted a brief with the specs you simply can't find from the big brands: a truly low rise and a minimal 1.5-inch side.

But making it minimal wasn't enough. We had to solve the "squish" factor.

Most briefs are either completely flat in front (uncomfortable) or use a "pouchy" design with seams (not sleek). Our solution is an engineered, seamless front shell that creates just enough space for a natural, athletic contour. We paired this with an internal comfort pouch - which also acts as the front liner - to keep everything comfortably supported and in the right place.

This is the brief we always wanted, built for true amphibious versatility. It’s a performance-first suit that’s comfortable enough to wear all day, keeping you ready for any chance to get in the water.
