The Wake 1.5" Performance Swim Brief

The brief is the system. Everything else is optional.

We built the Wake 1.5 because performance swim design hasn't moved in years. A true 1.5-inch side seam for minimal drag. An engineered seamless front — no center seam, no squish, just enough room for a natural athletic contour. A liner up front only, so the back panel is dry before you've toweled off. Chlorine-proof, UV-resistant recycled tricot built to outlast a season of laps.

It's lap-pool spec, married to amphibious ambition: comfortable enough to wear under your trail shorts all day, just in case the afternoon opens up for a swim.

Built for the lane

Where the Wake 1.5 earns it

Faceless male in black 1.5-inch swim brief and hoodie warming up poolside before a swim

Warm up in it. Swim in it.

The narrow cut moves with a full stretch and warmup routine, not just a stroke — no bunching, no riding up, nothing to adjust before you hit the water.

Drag starts at the seam.

A true 1.5-inch side seam keeps the cut minimal where it matters most — in the water. Less fabric at the outseam means less resistance through every stroke.

Male in black 1.5-inch swim brief resting at outdoor lap pool wall between sets

Built for the wall, not just the lane.

Front-liner-only construction means there's nothing heavy or waterlogged to deal with between sets — just a brief that's already dry and ready to go again.

Out of the water, still dialed in.

The same chlorine-proof, UV-resistant shell built for the lap lane holds its shape past the break, too — no separate suit for the ocean.

Trailhead to tide, no wardrobe change.

The brief is the system. Everything else is optional.

Male in open flannel and black 1.5-inch swim brief at a rocky forested riverbank before a swim

Already suited up before the first layer comes off.

Comfortable enough to wear as a base layer under your regular clothes — so by the time the flannel's off, you're already ready for the water.

Male in windbreaker and black 1.5-inch swim brief prepping for an open-water swim at a Big Sur cliffside

Gear prep, not a wardrobe change.

The amphibious shell doesn't care whether it's land or water — chlorine-proof, UV-resistant, and built to move between both without missing a step.

Male changing into a black 1.5-inch swim brief on a Pacific Northwest beach before a swim

The only swap that matters.

No liner to wring out, no mesh to bag out wet. Changing into the Wake 1.5 is the only gear change a beach swim actually requires.

Dry before the wetsuit's off.

The fast-dry recycled tricot shell sheds water quickly enough that you're dry well before the rest of your gear is put away.

Earned, not assumed

Then it just keeps going

The logo you won't notice.

One subdued mark, heat-transferred on the rear right hip. We're not interested in being a billboard — the cut and the fabric do the talking.

Male in black 1.5-inch swim brief relaxing on an outdoor patio with drinks after a swim

No changing required.

Amphibious by design: the same brief that handled the swim is comfortable enough to wear straight through the rest of the afternoon.

Male in black 1.5-inch swim brief at a coastal fire pit social gathering after a swim

Built for the rest of the day, not just the swim.

The seamless front and narrow rear cut are comfortable enough that you forget you're wearing performance gear once the swim is over.

Male in black 1.5-inch swim brief checking a watch poolside after a lap swim workout

Dry by the time you check the time.

Fast-dry tricot and a front-only liner mean there's no soggy-underwear dilemma standing between the workout and the rest of your day.
